To Slovakia and Hungary in one day

We had such a nice stay at Tina and Stephan's house outside Vienna. Their dog, Lelani, loved playing with this duck puppet. She felt the need to bite it's bill to make sure it couldn't quack at her.

We met Tim and Cassie at the appointed place, under the Praterbrucke Bridge. Pretty cool to see our hometown friends here!

This was on our way to meet them - we are becoming experts at riding subways with loaded bikes.

Outside of Vienna

Met a super nice couple from Washington State while we were waiting. They had just spent 400 euros to stay in Vienna! It can be crazy expensive here if you are not careful. Tim and Cassie came down this spiral ramp right afterward.

These guys have great stamina, biking all afternoon less than 24 hours after arriving.

Another strange and quirky campground outside a closed indoor tennis facility in Petronell-Carnuntum where there are lots of Roman ruins.

The landscape has been quite uniform and straight the last few days.

We took the wrong bridge into Bratislava. Navigating has been quite challenging he last few days.

We ordered 4 Slovakian specialties and shared everything: 2 kinds of goulash, duck and purple cabbage crepes, and sheep cheese and bacon gnocchi. Yum!
