We had a full day of run and lots of straight track for a few days. Felt a little bad for Tim and Cassie because they can see prettier stuff than his at home.
We also had many navigating conferences.
You know it's been a bit of a boring landscape day when this was the highpoint, but the beauty of biking is that you get to something new in such a short time.

Very chilly afternoon. We camped this night in another strange little site in the big backyard of a house in the city. It had a tiny outdoor kitchen and a warm room we could eat dinner in. Besides some barking dogs in a kennel, I liked the place. We had a long laugh at dinner about our confusion with the currency. We took out 200,000 forints by accident, which is nearly $1000 for 6 days. Way too much! It was difficult at first to divide all the prices by 210. We have it now.
I've been enjoying the strangeness of Hungary, fully realizing none of this is strange to the people who live here. I want to know so much more about the people, the language, the food, the beliefs and customs.....
For some reason this tower transfixed me. It had a War of the Worlds feel.

We went through a village called Nagyhegy (love the names here) where here was a tiny house on each narrow plot with gorgeous vineyards and gardens around it, but all very rustic and old world feeling. The roads are quite rough around here though, and we went through miles of mud tracks too yesterday.
