Fort Monostor on the Danube - the largest modern-era fortification in Central Europe. Scott loves these sort of places!
We spent the morning here after a relaxing evening in the thermal pools. At the Thermal Camping Hotel, they said a room would be 50 or camping would be 37 dollars an the room included breakfast and wifi. Tough decision.
We were given a bracelet that allowed us in to a series of indoor and outdoor sulphury pools. Lots of great people watching. Hungarians know how to enjoy! It was immensely relaxing - I think there is some medicinal benefit to those smelly waters, although I did tarnish my silver earrings :/
Pretty flowers and grasses grew in cracks of the fort.
This pic reminded me of Antarctica. These are footprints in fine sand at the fort, but you will often see this in the snow on the Ice.
No one is more peace loving than this man but he loves military stuff.
We rode down to Tata, a town with some medieval stuff. Had some chats online with a Humgarian friend who is wintering in Antarctica and it turns out she is from a town very close to here.
