Windy Sunday

First day off in six days - a windy Sunday.
A ventifact - rock carved by wind alone - that's how strong the wind is here.
Not many folks along the trail this day.
The wind is so strong that you can lean way back into it. I looked back at Scott at one point, and he was walking up a steep hill, perpendicular to it, reminding me of the gravity defying character in the childhood storybook, The Little Prince. The wind literally pushed us up all the hills.
You end up chewing on the volcanic grit and wiping it from your eyes all day.
14 miles of fuel hose will be stretched out to the airfields by the fuelies in the coming weeks.
Windmills are going to be installed this year to lessen our dependence on oil here - these are the fins.
AGAP - sad face
McMurdo - happy face!
Scott in his office doing the dreadful task of scheduling.

Cool pictures! That will be neat to have windmills down there. I like Scott's faces...
