We were awakened each morning at 5:30 to get dressed and get walking. The first night was frigid!
Salkantay MT in the background. We climbed up to 15,200 feet up to a pass to the left of the mountain. We had 3 beautiful young accomplished European gals in our group: Emma - post doc botanist, Katerina - project manager, Anna - medical student. Super bright, engaging, fun, and all three gorgeous.

I walked 90 minutes of stairs to Machu Picchu - hard! Scott left earlier for an additional climb up Huayna Picchu.
We hiked this way a few days ago.
For now I am just throwing up some pictures because I am exhausted from 5 days of hard hiking up and down mountains and through the
humid jungle. We catch a train in a few minutes for Cusco.
